How Email Forwarding Works
Last updated: July 2025
Nabbo gives every household a unique email address so you can forward messages directly from your inbox.
Find Your Nabbo Email
- Open Nabbo and go to Settings
- Under your household name, you’ll see your unique email alias (e.g.
smithfamily@nabboapp.com) - Tap to copy it to your clipboard
Forward a Message
From your email client (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.):
- Open the email you want Nabbo to process
- Tap Forward
- Paste your Nabbo email address as the recipient
- Send it
Nabbo will receive the email within seconds, extract the key details, and present them in your review queue.
What Works Best
Email forwarding is ideal for:
- School newsletters with multiple dates, events, and deadlines
- Booking confirmations (activities, classes, appointments)
- Payment reminders with due dates and amounts
- Event invitations with times, locations, and requirements
Tips
- You can forward the same email multiple times — Nabbo’s change detection will recognise duplicates
- HTML emails work great — Nabbo reads both the text and structured content
- Attachments like PDFs and images are processed too (e.g. permission slips, flyers)
- Set up auto-forwarding rules in your email client for regular senders like your child’s school
Troubleshooting
If a forwarded email doesn’t appear in Nabbo:
- Check your Nabbo email alias is correct (no typos)
- Give it 30 seconds to process
- Check your email client’s “Sent” folder to confirm it sent successfully
- If the issue persists, contact support@nabboapp.com
